Protest in Brussels on the 67th anniversary of the Tibetan Uprising Day

February 17, 2026 ・ International Campaign for TibetEvent

The International Campaign for Tibet (ICT) invites supporters, activists, and friends of Tibet to join us in commemorating the 67th anniversary of the Tibetan Uprising on 10 March 2026.

On this day in 1959, the Tibetan people rose up to peacefully demand freedom and democracy, resisting decades of oppression. Every year, Tibetans and their supporters around the world honor the courage and resilience of those who fought for their rights and remember those who sacrificed their lives in the struggle for justice and freedom in Tibet.

In Brussels as every year, ICT, in collaboration with Tibetan associations in Belgium and Lungta Belgium, will be organising a protest on this occasion.

Event Details:

  • Date: Tuesday, 10 March 2026
  • Programme:
    • 11h: Gathering at Merode (exit of Jubelpark/Parc du Cinquantenaire)
    • 12h: Departure to the Chinese Embassy
    • 13h-14h: Protest at the Chinese Embassy

JOIN US as we raise awareness of Tibet’s ongoing struggle for human rights, religious freedom, and the preservation of its unique culture. Together, we stand in solidarity with the Tibetan people and their enduring quest for justice!

NOT IN BRUSSELS/NOT AVAILABLE ON 10 MARCH? Hang out a Tibetan flag at your window on this day to demonstrate your support with the Tibetan people!

For more information about the event or how to participate, please contact ICT’s Brussels office at info@savetibet.eu.
