His Holiness the Dalai Lama to visit Europe

This week His Holiness the Dalai Lama left Dharamshala for New Delhi from where he left for Europe for a three-nation visit. His Holiness will give a series of teachings and public talks in Italy, Switzerland and the United Kingdom from 11 – 20 April. 

His Holiness first visited Pala Trento in Italy where he gave a public talk on 11 April.

His Holiness will then visit Switzerland for the Forum Fribourg on 13 – 14 April. He will give one-and a half days of teachings on Atisha’s Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment (jangchup lamdron) and confer a White Tara Empowerment (drolkar jenang) at the Forum Fribourg. He will give a public talk on ‘Ethics Beyond Religion’.

He will also participate in a science and humanism exchange forum on Living and Dying In Peace at the University of Lausanne on 15 April and give a public talk on Towards a Sustainable Future at the University of Bern the next day.

His Holiness will give a talk at the Global Scholars Symposium discussing Nonviolence for Conflict Resolution and additional talks at St. John’s College of Cambridge University on 19 – 20 April.
