On 30 June 2015, MEPs Thomas Mann (Germany, EPP) and Csaba Sógor (Romania, EPP), the International Campaign for Tibet (ICT), the Office of Tibet in Brussels and the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO) will jointly hold a special event to mark the 80th birthday of the Dalai Lama in the European Parliament.
Ahead of the next EU-China Summit, starting on 29 June in Brussels, EU Member States must reach a common position on human rights concerns in Tibet and raise them with the Chinese government during this exchange. The Tibetan community in Belgium will mark this event with a demonstration at Schuman Roundabout in Brussels at 12:30.

The photo exhibition, “Ways of Wisdom: Celebrating the Dalai Lama’s 80th Birthday”, will be displayed in the European Parliament until 3 July.
The International Campaign for Tibet will speak about the repression on Tibetan Buddhism at a conference entitled ‘Freedom of Religion? The Price of Faith’, organised by the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organisation (UNPO) and hosted by MEPs Csaba Sógor (EPP), György Hölvényi (EPP) and Ilhan Kyuchyuk (ALDE) at the European Parliament on 30 June 2015 from 15:30 to 17:30.

The International Campaign for Tibet (ICT) in cooperation with European Tibet Support Groups and the International Tibet Network (ITN) invites Tibetan activists and members of Tibet Support Groups (TSGs) residing in Europe to apply for a 2-day-long advocacy training program to be held in Brussels in March 2015 in view of the upcoming 10 March commemorations all over Europe.
