Tibet Solidarity Rally – 16 September 2016 – Geneva

September 7, 2016 ・ International Campaign for TibetEvent

flyer-tibet-solidarity-rally-16-septemberThe Tibetan community in Switzerland and Liechtenstein and the International Campaign for Tibet have the pleasure to invite you to a Tibet Solidarity Rally in Geneva during the upcoming session (33rd Session) of the UN Human Rights Council on 16 September 2016.

The aim of the rally is to highlight the deteriorating human rights situation in China, and to call on the UN to urge China to stop its crackdown on religious freedom in Tibet (following in particular the recent developments at Larung Gar), but also on Uyghurs and Mongolians.

Demonstrators will gather around 11:00 am in front of the Palais Wilson, before marching to the UN building. For further information and more details on the programme, you can contact the Office of Tibet in Geneva (Email: info@tibetoffice.ch ; Tel.: +41 22 738 79 40).

Please join us on 16 September to raise your voice for freedom of religion in China, and spread the information to your contacts!
