Tibetans, Uyghurs and Chinese dissidents to march for human rights on China’s National Day
On 1 October, the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the People’s Republic of China, Tibetans, Uyghurs and Chinese dissidents will gather in Brussels to commemorate the victims of Chinese repression and call for an end of China’s gross human rights abuses.
Tibetans and Uyghurs to hold demonstration during EU-China Summit
On the occasion of the EU-China Summit on 9 April 2019 in Brussels, FIDH, the International Campaign for Tibet (ICT), the World Uyghur Congress (WUC), the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organisation (UNPO), and Tibetan and Uyghur communities in Belgium have organized a joint demonstration to urge the EU to demand China be held accountable for its many human rights violations.
4th European Solidarity Rally For Tibet – 10 March 2019 – Brussels
Tibetans and their friends from across Europe will convene in Brussels on 10 March this year for a mass solidarity rally commemorating the Tibetan National Uprising Day of 1959. The event will be an opportunity to highlight the continuing plight of Tibetans in Tibet and to seek renewed support in Europe for the non-violent freedom struggle of the Tibetan people.
19th EU-China Summit – Protest at Schuman Roundabout on 2 June
On 2 June, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang will be in Brussels to take part to the 19th EU-China Summit. On this occasion,the Tibetan Community in Belgium, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, FIDH and the International Campaign for Tibet are organising a protest to call on the EU to take a stand on the deteriorating human rights situation in China.
