The International Campaign for Tibet, in collaboration with the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO) and the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH), MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk (ALDE) and MEP Thomas Mann (EPP), will be convening a conference at the European Parliament entitled ‘Chinese counter-terrorism policy: Impacts and dangers for Tibetans and Uyghurs’ on 8 February 2017.

The 33rd session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva once again saw Tibet and China in the spotlight, as the High Commissioner for Human Rights prominently expressed concern with regard to human rights violations in the People’s Republic of China and urged the Chinese government to cooperate with United Nations institutions.
